Be careful around cows

Just thought I'd post a reminder to be careful when walking through fields with cows in.

Today we had to walk through one, it was a fairly small field with a lot of cows in it. The path went right through the middle which meant walking right through the cows!! As I know how dangerous they can be I decided against that and instead to walk around them as best I could. All the calfs were laid down against one side so I headed to the other side.

Pretty much straight away one of them started walking towards us, I carried on at first but then it started trotting towards us quite quickly, I was fairly near the edge so at this point I ran to the wall with the cow hot on my heels! The cow came right up to us but I stood there hoping it would go away. It didn't and then more cows started making there way towards us. I was a bit scared by this point, threw Daisy over the wall and then scrambled over myself!

Be very careful everyone! Xx and of course feel free to laugh at me scrambling over a wall!   

Oh Saz, must have been unnerving for both of you. Pleased your both ok and yes, I did snigger a little  

Now I wouldn't snigger... More a roaring laugh at watching leap the wall   

But seriously though, a good reminder as cows can seriously injure both us and our Dogs.

No laughing here, Iza is scared of cows. And once i took a shortcut in a cow field after night in pub, they got spooked at started closing in on me. Was lucky i didn't get trampled, really scarey.

That's pretty scarey I don't like walking anywhere near cows they frighten me!

On the same theme was walking Iza friday and a man came down the road and warned me 2 lambs where on the road further up. He said Mummy sheep get very protective and i should turn back. Don't fancy getting chased with sheep

Good warning though they can get very dangerous with dogs especially when they have calfs x

i can remember year and years ago we went in an field with 4/5 horses in they trace us off it   it was pretty scary

  Sorry, had to. But I knew it! My OH was laughing at me when I told him I don't like to walk near cows, don't like the way they look at you, it really freaks me out.

  sheep are ok though, they just stamp their feet to warn you off! Angry cows are scary!

We are both ok, just glad no one saw me!   

friend of mine had to run out a field two nights ago when her boy was just standing near a calf. the rest of the herd came over and she had to run away leaving her new date standing in the middle of a field with lots of angry cows pmsl. best advise is drop the lead and let the dog run away and then get away yourself. cows see dogs as predators and will gang up on them if threatend
