random peeing at home...
Today we had our dinner, after that we played with Mambo a bit (at home) and app 5 minutes after we finished (me and my OH sat down at the table) Mambo randomly peed on the kitchen floor and even on his bed a bit! (which he doesn't really use for sleeping but still!), he was doing it actually looking at us sitting at the table!!!
It was so random, I don't know why would he do this?!
Of course we stopped him (but im sure he already finished...) and went for a short walk.
Mambo is a rescue dog, we have him for almost 4 weeks now.
He settled in very nicely and he should already be used to the daily walks routine (4 walks a day, almost same time every day). He had some accidents with peeing and pooping already but that was at night and due to the food that his body 'rejected'. He also peed once when he was left alone for the first time for about an hour and he's peeing when he;s excited to see us in the morning but only if we give him 'too much attention'. We always clean after any accident and no scent or anything like that should stay at home to encourage him.
The thing he did today seems really strange!
When he peed he was in between his lunchtime walk and afternoon walk that he should have in about 1,5-2 hours.
He also didn't 'ask' to go out, although we've never really seen him doing that, it seems like he doesn't know that he can show us he needs to go out.
Anyways, I am wondering why would he do this? He obviously knows that he shouldn't pee at home and he gets his regular walks every day. But he doesn't know how to ask to go out if he needs it!
The only reason I can think of was that he drank more water than usually... actually it maybe be possible, considering that it's much hotter outside today, and in our flat as well so maybe he did drink more but we just didn't notice...
any ideas how to teach your staffy to 'ask' for a walk?

Hi Tom
im no expert but i think its just going to take time if you have only had Mambo for 4 weeks he is still settling in to his new home,
my last staffy rosie who pass away in march bless her was also a rescue and it took us nearly 3 months to get her into a routine i woke up and also came in from work to a right mess all that time
if you can try letting mambo go toliet every hour or so we are doing this now with my new rescue buster who we have only had for 2 weeks
every 2 hours when we can especially weekends we open the back door and say wee wee's and off he goes to do one and now he is starting to cry at the door when he needs to go
give him time and when he feels safe and secure he will follow his routine to a T
