budgie Joke

A man has a pet budgie and decides he is lonely, so he buys another and puts it in the cage.  Next morning he gets up and the new budgie is lying dead in the bottom of the cage.

Puzzled, the man takes the dead bird back to the pet shop who examines it.  He tells him the bird has a broken neck.  The man then figures that his budgie had killed the new bird, so he buys a parakeet, goes home and puts that in  the cage.  Next morning, the same result, the Parakeet is lying dead in the bottom of the cage with a broken neck.

He goes back to the pet shop and buys a Parrot and puts this in the cage.  When he gets up, the parrot is dead in the bottom of the cage with a broken neck.  The man is angry now, so he goes out and buys an eagle and puts this in the cage with the budgie.

Next morning, the eagle is dead in the bottom of the cage with a broken neck, but the budgie has no feathers on it at all

The man says to the budgie "HA!  That's done you, hasn't it?"

The budgie replies "Not really, I just had to take my coat off for that one"
