Oh my god they can sulk! UPDATED and very worried.

Picked Moo up after one night away and she can't even bare to be in the same room as me! Go and see her in the bedroom and she shakes and just shy's away! Jesus these bleedin animals can put it on when they want! Xx

I am so sorry to hear this Janey, its going to be a long night for both
of you. Hopefully it will be something simple that can be put right
quickly and your lovely girl will be back to normal.

Thank you loves, she is more open to me touching it, its become harder which makes me think its an infection - its head over heart now, I am sure she will be fine till morning, but yes it will be a long nite - thankfully she sleeps in my bed so I will have her close. Call the vets asap tomorrow unless anything changes - most likely a course of antibiotics Xx

Oh no... They do worry us.. How is she tonight ?

Woke her to take out for a wee and she is walking ok, her tail was half up - even though it was raining - I did find her trying to sleep under the bed very unusual but she is now on it. So progressing the right way. Such a worry - I do just think its an infection but she will be at the vets asap tomorrow and I am on dog look out tonight x thanks love

She is just unwell hun, will be up with her tonight - has an infection I think, very subdued and very swollen - just sleeping not eating or drinking. I thought she was sulking but nope, I think its an abscess so vets asap tomorrow. We shall be fine hun ok x

Thank you all so much. I managed to get into the vets at 9.30 - she was a lot brighter this morning but the lump was double the size - like 2 tennis balls but wobbling like jelly. The vet was unsure, she sad the wound seemed to be too high up to cause the infection - said it could have been a snake bite, so she gave me antibiotics & pain killers and if it hasn't gone down I have to take her back tomorrow to see if we need the fluid drained. A friend stayed here with her today so she wasn't on her own - fingers crossed the meds will kick in soon.

Wow that did get a lot bigger then, must have been very sore for her! A snake bite? Lucky it wasn't worse then xxx

Oh Moomin, all our fingers, toes and paws are crossed here. Hope you both manage some sleep tonight and that there's improvement tomorrow xx

Kept looking to see an update today as slightly concerned about Moo.
Pleased she's a little brighter and hopefully will be feeling better tonight with the medication.   xx

Yes I surprised about the snake bite but we do get adders round here - I just don't no I can't explain it - will try and get a photo but she is camouflaged it doesn't really show.

It's just like when you have a sick child. Our furbabies are just the same though. Proper worrier me  :-<

Aww hun poor Moo and you, it does sound strange but also sounds like fluid. May be best if they drain it but how odd, I hope meds kick in and she is back to normal asap xxxxx

Yes I just booked an appointment for tomorrow at 10.45 so if it hasn't gone down by then back we go Xx

It's awfull when they feel not right and the only thing you can do is comfort them. Moo, we're thinking about you, well Debo is more like dreaming and singing at the same time but I'm sure it's all for you

That's really unusual, glad Moo is more herself tonight but seeing her swell like that must have been flippin scary. Flo sends girlie solidarity hugs   

Glad that Moo is feeling better in herself and hope that you feel reassured
now that the Vet has seen her. I know how awful it is when you feel so
helpless   

I'm no expert but don't think it could have been an Adder that bit her
because she would have needed anti venom treatment.

The main thing is that she gets well very soon.

Agree - still massive though, what worries me is when she had a prior one and it popped it pusses out of the initial wound - there is no wound close for this to seep out of. I have a feeling it will be vets again am. I don't think its a snake bite at all, but just haven't a clue - seen infection at its worst with her face, worried to see what will come out of this!

Hope Moo is better soon and it is nothing serious
