Re: Argos insurance
We were with Argos on their platinum policy with Rocky at approx £18 per month, he is also a Staffy cross and insured as so. Argos were very quick to pay out once the claim form had been sent in to them, payment received within a week in fact we were very impressed. We only changed due to an increase in the monthly policy payment to £25 per month after making a claim from them for about £250.

Re: Argos insurance
Pet protect can give me life long insurance for just £10 but its only a max off £6k per year instead off Argos is £6 or £7k per injury per year but pet protect is £20 cheaper

Re: Argos insurance
I am with Animal Friends, very reasonable for life time cover and very simple when I claimed and at £16 p/m I would recommend them Xx

Re: Argos insurance
I would recommend that you go for the life cover with any insurance provider that has it. Try to go for the one with the highest amount of cover per injury/illness that you can afford with 3rd party cover too. This will cover the vet fees should your dog injure another dog. Be sure to read the small print though.

Re: Argos insurance
We are with Argos on lifetime platinum cover too I think, and so far so good!
The policy costs us £19 a month for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. We have claimed probably almost £400 for Bane to date and each time have had a cheque through within a week with no problems.
We haven't come round to a renewal yet though so I am thinking it will be going up! :/
I would imagine pet insurance is like car insurance and the prices fluctuate slightly throughout the year? Maybe why your quote is different.

Re: Argos insurance
Hi, I paid £264 for the year for Ralph with Argos Platinum. Due to a ruptured cruciate and floating patella have had to claim about £4k in total. I had to pay up front each time but received a cheque from Argos within 1-2 weeks each time. They have been superb. Now we wait to see what they ask for at renewal time in November. But at the mo wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. Good Luck in your search.

Re: Argos insurance
Hi I went for Argos in the end. It does worry me slightly how I'd manage to pay a massive 4-5k bill before claiming it back lol but id manage some how

Re: Argos insurance
Hi Highlands-Brody, luckily I didn't have to pay all in one go. Each x-ray, procedure, as they were done the vet charged me and I paid then Argos paid me. Each time I completed a claim form in advance and left with the vet as I paid, they complete and send to Argos, who paid me by cheque generally in about a week. Hope you don't need to claim but rest assured if you do I cannot fault them.
