excited!

The OH was due to finish at his work on Weds and then start his new job on Friday, but they've said he can finish today since Monday and Thursday are holidays here ... so I've just booked us in for massages on Monday to completely unwind and get him starting his new job relaxed. Can't wait to surprise him   

It also means lots of big park walks next week so by the time he starts work on Friday the dogs will be happy for the rest and maybe not mind so much that their daddy's going to be getting home later.

Always nice to have a dog week. Best of luck to your OH with the new job.

New jobs are always exciting. Hope Roxy and Vinnie have an easy adjustment to the new schedule

I hope so too. He'll be leaving at the same time, so most of the day will be as per their usual routine. But where he now gets home at 14:30 he'll be getting in around 17:00 so I will add an extra garden play/training session in and we will walk as soon as he gets in. Roxy tends to sulk until daddy gets home, so will keep her busy

The extra exercise will help. When I had to pull night shifts I would take Suki out right away. Of course I wasn't in the mood after working 12+ hours but it did let me get some sleep

Yes it was but after day 30 or so it started to wear on me just a bit.

You must've been exhausted. Boomer balls are lifesavers in this house when there's excess energy.

Suki doesn't like hers. It took me months of searching on the net to find a place that would deliver her and she played with it for about a minute   Now a sock that has one of our smells on it she is all over even if we are still wearing it

  Suki, come and visit, Roxy will teach you how to open the sock draw - it's her favourite trick and then you can pinch dad's socks when he's not looking...or sleeping and wearing them!

Thanks for the offer. Suki figured out the drawer and door trick a bit ago. We even had to child proof the fridge to keep her out.
