Re: poor ace :(
Oh poor baby
Hope it's not a broken leg.
Our BM broke his (femur) when he was only 4 months old. It did heal well (the vet inserted a K nail/plate). Unfortunately the bill wasn't small, but they allowed us to pay it off over the next 4-6 weeks as he also had to have it operated on again to remove the plate. The hardest thing is trying to keep them quiet after.
Have they allowed you to take him home..?

Don't be silly, if you were a shitty owner you wouldn't be bothering to take him for treatment, would you?
Accidents happen & let's face it, Staffs are so energetic, they'll often do things they shouldn't. You really can't avoid the odd mishap!
Good luck for today, let's hope it's a sprain or pull.

Re: poor ace :(
Oh Chez I'm so sorry, it's possibly his femur & it will mend well with the pin & plate, I know I've been there. He's young and he'll recover well. The hardest thing to do will be keeping his resting quietly for the next few weeks.
I know this doesn't alleviate your worrying, but we are all here with you when you need some support ><

Re: poor ace :(
Oh no.
Thinking of you and Ace, and wishing him a speedy recovery.
My brothers pup ( a Maltese ) had a broken leg too at around the same age. A tradesman was at the house and pup knocked something over etc....
Anyway, they had to keep him relatively calm for a while ( VERY hard with an energetic pup ) as his leg was pinned and in a full fibreglass cast. They borrowed a babies play-pen which kept him out of trouble..... Anyway, what i'm getting at is that he's absolutely fine now after the accident, you would'nt even know he'd done anything.
Keep us posted on his progress.

Re: poor ace :(
Poor sweetie. A playpen will be fine as long as he doesn't try to jump out! He'll probably be happier in a pen rather than a crate for hours at a time. Make sure that the pen isn't too big, though, or it won't keep him as still as he should be.
He's so young that a break will mend very well & he probably won't have any sign afterwards that there was anything wrong.
I bet you can't wait to pick him up - let us know when you have him safely home again!
