Greetings from Safe and Sound

Hello everyone,

I'm Angi, one of the founders/trustees of Safe and Sound, a registered charity death row dog rescue (no 1152935), working to save the lives of unclaimed pound (stray) dogs in the UK.  My rescue proudly saves ALL breeds of dog, but the overwhelming majority are staffies & staffie crosses and I've joined this forum hoping to get some support from the SBT community.

I am passionate about staffies and since I learnt of the scale of the problems our breed faces, I am now passionate about rescuing them too.  

I have two staffies myself, Jada and Bruno.  

This is Jada, she is 4.5yrs old & was adopted by me from a rescue centre when she was 12 months old:





And this is Teddy Bruno.  He is 4 years old & was a death row dog that I brought home 'temporarily' in a last ditch effort to save him.  He was only supposed to stay for 2-3 weeks, but that was three years ago!





I also have a Shih Tzu x French Bulldog called Cocoa, who is very naughty & gives me grey hairs:

Our charity registration number is 1152935 (England and Wales).

We work mainly in the Southern half of England, with kennel bases in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire (these are private boarding kennels, not open to the public).  We work with local authorities from the South Coast to East Anglia.

Only those dogs which have been taken into the care of Safe and Sound (ie into our emergency boarding) and assessed by us will be available for rehoming/fostering. We do not place dogs straight from the council pound into homes.
