Does this sound right?
Vinny's the first we got from a breeder and we did our homework on them etc and were happy. Now I have just received a message from them saying that Vinny's dad and one of his litter sisters have had a litter (and Vinny's littler only turned 6 months about 2 weeks ago). Sure she's too young to have had a litter?

Not only too young, but with her father? That's absolutely not on! Inbreeding at its worse!

I am furious to say the least I feel like they got money hungry after the last litter. I bet if you asked they'd say something like "suuuure, take a pup at 5 or 6 weeks if you have the cash"

So I am *hoping* what I have been told is true: they say that they have another female but because their 2 females didn't get along a family member has the other female and she is the one who has had a litter. I really, really hope this is true but will try and do some more snooping.

OMG thats disgusting poor little girl. I think all the issues around breeding protocols etc are very much in the limelight with us because of BYB, rescues etc and I kknow we are told you don't have the same issues over there but it is still so wrong wrong wrong

I don't know about not having the same issues Dave, I honestly think that over your side people are far more proactive and aware. Over here there is sometimes a "couldn't care less attitude." In SA too many people have dogs purely as security and not as family members and I know I bore people to tears talking about my "kids," but that's where my couldn't-care-less attitude comes in - don't like hearing about my kids? Go away!
