Dog baiting Empty Dog baiting

Hello all. My name is Russell, and I live in a town called Ayr, Nth Queensland, Australia.
I am the proud owner of two male Staffies, which I rescued from terrible abuse. They are both brindle. Toby is 4yo, and Junior is 1. I love these guys with all my heart. In the last two weeks I've had two baits thrown over my fence. The first one Junior got hold of, and came running into me with froth pouring out of his mouth. I grabbed him and jumped in the shower with him and washed his mouth out, then poured milk down his throat and made him vomit. I was so glad he came to me, as dogs usually run and hide when scared. He was a bit off the next day, but came good. What I can't understand, is why do people do this sort of thing.

Russell.
