INFORMATION ON POSSIBLE STAFFIE BAITING RING

A man, possibly called John, with a small red van who lives in the BIDFORD area is collecting staffies from the estate and local rescues and supplying them for fighting bait. Keep a look out for local advertising for free dogs or do not advertise your dog for free - last week on pre loved there was an ad for staffies needing a home in Stratford and by the time a lady had rung "a man had been to collect the 2 of them" The local police and dog warden for Stratford have been informed.Pass this information on to the people in this area and inform everyone that there is a man trying get free or to buy cheap staffords.

I saw this post on facebook earlier and was going to share after I had tried to source the story, I have tried to search the internet for any leads and the news but I cannot find anything in regards to this. The only recent dog fighting ring I have uncovered so far is in north Aberdeenshire See Artice
So I am not sure where this has started but I am trying to uncover what has happened. I would hate everyone to start panicking unnecessarily if the story isn't true. If anyone else can find out any info or source where this started please post!

But anyone rehoming must have a heart for there dogs and check out the people who are going to take them how can they just hand them over to a complete stranger who they dont know and have no regard for what happens next surely they have hearts or NOT

I totally agree gem...all new homes should be thoroughly vetted, why would anyone advertise their dogs or pups and allow someone who they know nothing about to take them? I know there are some daft folk out there but seriously, I would expect as a buyer or seller to be rigorously quizzed and checked and rigorously check them in return! It is only the dogs that potentially suffer if checks are not done by both parties.
