Hi all I'm new on here just need a little advice my staffy just came to bed fell on his bed and started crying when I went to him he moved round and was slavering then wet himself while still layed down a few mins later he was up but not himself now he's flat out. Has anyone had this before? He is 13 but still fit and happy

Re: Is my staffy ill??
Hi and welcome from Fo and me.
Does sound like he is out of sorts from what you describe. Has anything upset him tonight or did it just happen all of a sudden ?
If your worried about him, I would suggest a visit to the vet to make sure.

Re: Is my staffy ill??
It does sound like he is in pain, from whinning to shivering and wetting himself.
happened when he lied down?
does any of his muscles/stomach feel hotter than the rest of him? allot of heat in one area can mean pain.
has he ate something today?
sickness diarrhea?
recent injury at the park etc?

Re: Is my staffy ill??
maybe he ate something he shouldnt of! 13 a ripe old age too! hope hes feeling better! there was a news report recently about a substance thats been washing up on british beaches ( i think its something oil based ) and dog owners are being warned that dogs have been eating it and some have actually died from it but wherever u live dogs do like to check things out (willow went through a poo eating stage)
