New Dog Introductions
Hi all, we currently have a 4yr old female and have a chance to take in male who's owners are moving and can't take him. We would love to have him. Meeting up over the weekend for walkies together to introduce them before we say yes. Any other advice please.?

Meeting on neutral ground is great as it sounds you are.
I've only got the one, but there will be more experienced people along soon

Re: New Dog Introductions
I've only got Biscuit currently, but have fostered lots of dogs over the past few years with her. The main problems that I have encountered are resource guarding (food/toys/ME!) and just general difference in personality. Biscuit is very quiet and calm and more bouncy, vocal fosters have made her life miserable. Are they both quite sociable in general? And training up to scratch? Have you spent much time with him one on one?
