Maximus struggling with introductions.
Maxi loves everyone, kids grownups other dogs birds etc and wants to play with everyone but gets far too excited and jumps up at other dogs. they dont usually take this well. he'd been calm and polite with introductions since we started socializing him, its only in the last few weeks that he's turned into a cretan. he's 6 months old now. how can i help him ?

Re: Maximus struggling with introductions.
Logan is like that too tbh.
The way I did it was socialise with a friends dog who I knew would put up with his behaviour. Her dog was very laid back but was fully able to put him in his place when he needed it.
I also always would have brought toys/treats to break his attention if he got to full on.

You can try turning the other direction if he is pulling toward other dogs or simply have him sit until he is calm and than let him introduce himself. Suki was like that as well for a long time. When they get older most simply grow out of it

Zeus is the same, he's really friendly with everyone, people, kids, elders, even small dogs. But when he comes across a big dog and he's off lead, he just wants to jump up on them and hump, I'll let him play with other dogs but as soon as he starts to try and hump or jump, i'll tell him off with a firm 'no', put him on lead again and take him away. Hopefully he gets the message soon enough that this is unacceptable behaviour!

Darcy too thinks everyone she sees has come to see her!!! It'll take him some time to realise what you accept as reasonable behaviour

I dealt with it by just letting Loki meet as many dogs as possible, but moving him away if he got too boisterous. A couple of telling offs won't do them any harm, Loki got told off quite a lot and it helped him settle down. He now finally doesn't jump all over them. If you know someone with a calm, friendly dog, that'd definitely help.
