The only time we give Suki a bath is when she is really stinky or rolls in something she shouldn't like poop. Bathing too frequently can dry their skin out. Every couple of months is fine though.

We do use a moist towel and wipe her down every couple of days though.

As J says, don't bath too much, just when they really need it! Welcome to the forum, maybe come and say hi  Big Grin

I would say no don't bath them, they will clean themselves and that is what there mum is for, at 4 weeks should be left to wake up to the big wide world. By all means change the bedding but no need to bath x

I agree with Janey, too young to bathe.

Aside from that, I bathe Zeus whenever he gets really smelly.. around every 2/3 months. But we do wipe him down and his paws etc after a walk.

Not yet and when you do best to be as little as possible, I only bath Darcy if she's filthy or really stinky Smile

The last litter that I raised was a group of 5 Rottweiler puppies at the shelter, they had to all stay in one room as we were overloaded and kept messing and rolling around in it!! Mum used to clean them up as best as she could, but if she couldn't I'd just wipe them other with a wet cloth. No need for bathing really at this age, especially not with chemicals, their skin is so delicate!

I gave my 5 month old her first bath at the weekend, I made sure not to get any water anywhere near her head at all, and just poured water from a jug rather than submerging her or using a shower head. She wasnt keen but she sat still and was over in 5 mins and she was shaking the wet off all over the bathroom. Perhaps just bathe in plain water to get the worst offxx
