Today whilst Elsie was playing with her doggie friends, i noticed her nipples where swollen and more red. She is slightly swollen but nothing much and no sign of a discharge, but could this be the first signs of her season starting. Elsie is now 7 months.

Sounds like it, Katy had her 1st season about the same time. The bleeding should start as pink water (looking) then change to blood. Bleeding should last about 2 weeks you could try the hygiene pants ( Katy wasn't having none of that) or good throws on your furniture. The 3rd week you need to keep her on a lead at all times as she will turn into a right tart  Laughing  I kept her on her lead throughout the whole 4weeks.
