First season
Hey everyone, can people please advise when their female staffy's first season was?
Mine is booked in for desexing and is currently 5.5 months old but I think she might be going in to season now and her desexing is next week!?

Re: First season
I can't help with the first season question but give your vets a quick call and they will be able to advise the next move, they may well want to see her to check and if she is in season I'm sure they will rearrange the op.

Katy had her 1st season at 6 months but as Ian has said speak to the vet as they wont do it if she's just coming into season!!

Re: First season
My newest pup just came off hers and she started at 10 months old, got to wait three months after the season stops to get them spayed, think i will leave her for a few seasons though, there is no threat of pregnancy so why not.

Re: First season
i think all dogs should be allowed to mature before neutering, but if you're dead set on having her spayed sooner & she's now coming in to season, then you will have to wait 3 months to allow her organs to settle down again.
