Allergies
Hello :)it's been a while since I was last on here, been busy with college and work but glad to be back :DChico is having skin problems, we've never had these issues before and the vet seen him today and is going to try some steroid cream and if that doesn't help he mentioned long term steroids etc but u really don't want that! I'm looking into hypo allergenic dog food but there's so many I am a little bit lost :/ I was hoping someone has some experience on this that could help me? Anything would be very much appreciated ,

Re: Allergies
Some hypoallergenic foods available are James Welbeloved, Barking Heads and Burns, I can recommend the Barking Heads as this is what Rocky has every day.

Re: Allergies
Maybe try adding some oils to the diet? A fish based diet might help if you feed dry Xx

Re: Allergies
Thank you I've been looking through posts and will be ordering some coconut oil and omega 3 tablets as well so will see how we get on with that and it would probably be best to get a small bag of food to try out first? Don't want to spend loads and then he doesn't like it lol

Re: Allergies
Contact the food supplier for a sample bag to begin with that way you will not waste money buying loads of it.

Re: Allergies
Iv had same problem but really it depends on what his allergic to, iv tried Burns, and a few HA foods and fish4dogs, and still had skin problems after getting him tested it actually shows his allergic to potato and rice which in fact are in mostly all hypo allergenic foods so for us didn't help at all!
So what his allergic to maybe in the HA food u buy.
