Getting crated :)
Yep folks Lola's being crated or as I like to say, she's getting a den
Now I have never crated a dog, not that I don't believe in it, but Lola has been so good when left on her own and she has always slept in my bed.
But recently whilst leaving her on her own she will rummage about the place to find crisp packets or anything like that to rip up, and of course as some of you have seen toilet roll (my fault for leaving bathroom door open haha).
It's kind 3fold why I'm getting it her now at 7 months.
1. So when people come round I can tell her to go in her den until she calms down, as she is crazy when people come round, they all stand haha
2. When I'm out she can't rip up anything
and 3 is a huge maybe. As I have purchased an x large crate incase or when we have another puppy.
So collecting an x large crate won from Ebay on Sunday.
I intend to have it in the living room and to cover it over with something I havnt thought what yet.
But I shall share pics with you.
I do hope she likes it
Any doo's or don'ts on introducing her to such a huge piece of metal?

Re: Getting crated :)
Step 1) Bribe the dog every time, so that "crate time" is "treat time".
Step 2) If and when (likely will happen) you get to comfortable, take that extra long time away from home, and the dog pee's in there. Just relax. Don't blame them.
Step 3) If the crate's too big, they likely will start peeing in a corner. If this starts happening (and not because your pup couldn't hold its bowels) get a crate divider, and make that crate smaller. Noone wants to pee the bed.
Other than that, the article posted above is pretty darn good.
