Teaching Him not to jump on my bed in the night
Hi,
I'm after a bit of advice please. I have a 1 year old staffy and he sleeps on his bed in our bedroom, but he has started to continuously leave his bed and jump onto mine all through the night. We tell him no and make him get back in his bed every time, which he does but then he does it again and again. We have tried leaving him downstairs but he cries none stop and he is also an avid chewer. He has a crate as he was crate trained but he's a bit big now to be locked in there as he's 25kg and taller than your average.
Is it just a case of perseverance and keep telling him to get back in his bed?

If you really don't want him on the bed (Moo sleeps on mine) maybe get a baby gate so he can still see you but can't get on the bed.

When I was in my flat Biscuit used to do this too, just want to be near you bless them! She sleeps downstairs now, but you could consider a crate? Or as Janey has said a baby gate and a bed on the landing perhaps?

I tried this as well, I made his crate all cozy next to my bed but when I was asleep he sneaked up and under the blanke! I have to admit, I do like him in the bed cause he's so snuggly and warm lol sorry I'm no he'll

Sorry I'm no help either if OH is home ( he works away a lot) oz sleeps on the bed and does try and sneak under the duvet but I stop him by hiding the way in, otherwise if Oh is at home he sleeps down stairs in his bed and is quite happy but I know what he prefers!
