Surprised Puppy pre-school

Post by AussieStaff Wed Jan 22 2014, 23:05

Week 3 of 5 done now, and I hate it. Koda loves the socialisation so I'll stick with it, if I'm allowed back.

Last night had a guy pull Koda off their toy poodle who was latched onto Koda's face then do it again then used his foot to separate them 3rd time round. A few choice words exchanged and yet again told how aggressive my dog is - errrr it was YOUR handbag dog that latched onto my dog's face you * !!!

The trainer has rubbed me the wrong way each week also (1st week told me I'd bought from a backyard breeder (so what if that was the case!!) because we hadn't received pedigree papers yet - which arrived 2 days later, ha !!, 2nd week used Koda for the bite inhibition lesson "because Staffy's are very aggressive", and then last night told I'm giving him the wrong toys by using tough chew toys as that just continues to teach him to be aggressive - errrrr really ????). Deep breaths Bek, deep breaths ...  Big Grin

He used his foot on Koda!! i would've used my foot to separate his head from his shoulders. That class sounds like a nightmare, but iam sure koda is loving mucking around & mixing with the other pups. Only 2 weeks to go!!

Poor you. Sounds like that man shouldn't be running puppy school at all.
Hope you find a more suitable follow on class elsewhere.
Am looking around now for pre school classes for Toots.

I think sometimes dogs have the right attitude to be people aggressive. I wouldn't mind biting some people I come across, or just taking a pee on their leg.

I'm sure if I was going there I wouldn't be very relaxed at all. Wow that trainer should be reported somewhere, how do you keep your cool ?

Is there any where else you could go??. I just wish these people who think our dogs are aggressive could spend 1 day with them to see how playful, intelligent and loving they are xx

Thx guys. I'll stick it out as we live a little remote so classes are few & far between (this is prob why !!!!), besides I'd like Koda to snap his (handbag dog's owner!) face off next Wednesday & pee on the trainer- wish me luck !!!!! Smile

I'm cheering for Koda peeing all over those people! Drink lots and stock up little man Wink
I really can't believe that guy putting his foot on Koda! How dare he! It's a shame there aren't many classes for you to go to Sad

We go to one at the vets, there was only us and a Cockapoo Laughing and the vet brought her Staff cross too last couple of weeks and they have gone nuts! So great to see Staffs play together they are such jokers! Hope you find something better if you do it again Smile

LOL thanks ! 2 more hours and it's finished, I want to see him graduate so will stick it out and stick it to them if there's another performance this week. I wouldn't do puppy class again. How fab about your pup class and it's just the best to see them all rolling round together isn't it ! x
