Puppy pre-school

My 9 wk old has just been booked into puppy pre-school & starts early Jan. He's been tearing around the house past couple of days like he's on crack ! & chewing EVERYTHING that fits in his mouth (& some that don't !). He's adjusted really well to his 1st week at home, knows 'sit', his name, 'No!' (sometimes!), sleeps through the night mostly and is at least half way there with toilet training. My OH is on the verge of a nervous breakdown I think !   Persistancy, patience & consistency are the keys I reckon, discipline discipline, discipline ! But I did wonder how long does this behaviour last ??   

For staffs? ummm...9 years :p

Sounds like Koda is doing very well for his age - he's still a baby and still learning!

Puppy pre-school will help a lot I'm sure, but don't expect a baby puppy to turn into a middle-aged dog overnight!

Nope, you miss the best bits. The "OMG HE JUST RAN INTO A WALL AND FELL OVER DEAD" only to realise he is on the floor laughing. Yes, staffies laugh.

They laugh ??? Can't wait ! He learnt how to bark today, hillarious.

When he laughs you will know it cause it will make you laugh so much you hurt!

Aww he's doing amazing well done to you both, puppy school will be good, puppyhood can be a nightmare but the good far outweighs the bad

We have boycie whos 9 weeks monday and hes the same "on crack" lol I know exactly what you mean! !

I hate to say it but Katy is 14 months & still charges round likes she's on something. I'd like to try what she's taking

Haha the "crack" phases are so funny! Bane's like that when he gets tired He starts running at 100 mph!

And I think I almost had a mental breakdown with Bane! I always thought I was a very patient person...but I realised not so much when we got him! XD They are very testing sometimes!

So it's not just me ? YAY !!!!!! I'm exhausted. He's gorgeous though and the quiet times make it worth while lol

Yeah we had a bit of a love hate relationship at first...he would be naughty all day long and make me really angry and tired...but you just can't stay mad when they come and snug on you in the evening Cuddles make it all better!

That's my theory too, I know it's just a stage, I know it's normal, we just need to be firm with him and get through it so we have a superb boy at the end. I love his cuddles when he's just woken up !!
