wee'd on my rug!
hi wispa is nearly 9months old and i got him at four months and had him weeing outside in a week. after that week he never wee'd inside again...until i put down a rug a week ago that i had previously put away when i first got him and never bothered to put back down.
he just wee'd on it while i was out the room and my partner said no and he trotted off to his crate.
he then did it again the next day and i caught him in mid action and said no and he ran to his crate.
when i was training him i never once said anything to him when he had an accident just cleaned it up, took him outside and said 'toilet' to associate him weing/pooing then really praised him when he did.
from then he now just barks to go out by the back door. when he was a little younger and he needed to go in the night he'd wake me and i;d take him out he go athen come back in and straight to his crate and go to sleep.
so i feel he knows what he did was wrong or i had to say 'no' so he knew not to start toileting in the house.
I can only think of two reasons why he did it, one because it was raining: although he doesnt like to go outside when it rains he has never wee'd in the house before. the other reason was because i had just rubbed my rug down with bleach. so the smell...but he is alreafy toilet trained so i find it hard to believe he was confused.
well i have rolled back up the rug but really want a rug down so how should i go about this please? any suggestions would be great

Re: wee'd on my rug!
Clean the rug with biological washing powder, it breaks down the enzyme that he can smell that would cause him to wee on it again

What saz says it'll help him not be able to smell it and he won't go on there again

Re: wee'd on my rug!
Can I ask what kind of rug it is? Short haired or long that it looks like grass?
