Brave Daisy
And I'm not being sarcastic this time!
Something really weird just happened, its quite windy and we just heard a couple of really loud bangs, Daisy jumped up barking (her protective bark). A window was open upstairs so I thought something had blown over up there as it sounded like it came from the back, but when I checked nothing amiss, but both the outside lights were on! So I opened the back door and Daisy ran straight out up the garden, did a lap checking all the hedges then went down and checked the side path! She is never normally brave like that! I also went out expecting the bin had blown over or something, but no? Very strange, then there was a weird animal noise, never heard it before but can only imagine it was foxes or badgers in the park behind as it sounded like it was coming from there. Maybe whatever it was had knocked something over in someone garden and that's what we heard?
Anyway I'm so proud of Daisy normally she backs away from anything scary but she was straight out to investigate and protect mummy

Re: Brave Daisy
Here is where we have an advantage. My hairdresser said to me: what time do you go out at night for last walkies? 11 oclock-ish, I said, maybe midnight. Do you not worry being out at that time of night, she said? What, with that boy?!? I replied.
So this is our little secret: even though Douglas is more likely to lick a stranger to death than to attack them (as long as they're not a black lab) he sure looks ugly to anyone who thinks of making a nuisance of themselves. Another advantage of having a staffie (cross). But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
