Staffordshire with health issues on her left eye
Hi all,
My 5 years old Staffy (Tila) has had allergies for all her life, but for the last 6 mounts she have much
pain in her left eye, sometimes it's so bad that she almost can't see with her eye.
She only eat Hills Z/T Allergen-Free Dog Food so we are not sure what the reason is.
We have visit our local vetrinary several times and three different eye specialist in veterinary ophthalmology in Norway have tried to assist us but nobody can give any diagnosis or thretment that will help our dog.
We have tried many different eye drops without result that help.
This is a picture on how her eye looks like daily:

If anyone have had similar eye issues with theirs dog and have some advise to us, please give us
some feedback.
Thanks a lot,
Tila and Rebecca

Re: Staffordshire with health issues on her left eye
Aww poor baby that does look nasty, I have had many eye probs with Vinnie usually scratching and causing baldness, it usually with us anyway come down to diet. I am not aware of the food you have mentioned but Coconut oil is good either on it or in the food. I also give Vin Viacutan oil which really did improve the situation.

Re: Staffordshire with health issues on her left eye
Her eye certainly looks inflamed, but it's strange that only her left eye is affected. Has her eye been examined for a foreign body that maybe has gotten into it?
I only wish I could help. If it was my dog and the vets couldn't help, then I would try swilling the eye out with a solution (like you can buy for human eyes - Optrex or for rinsing of contact lenses, sterile water).
Do let us know how you get on - I wish you both the best of luck.
