My 11 month old puppies eating habits/ food choice!
I have an 11 month old staffy named Thor. His weight hovers just around 50 pounds. Around a month ago if not longer we noticed that he had become very uninterested in his puppy food so we began to wean him off it mixing it with an adult dog food named Merrick. Merrick is a high protein grain free dry food. When we first began mixing it with his puppy food he loved it and would finish the bowl in no time. We bought three different flavors of the brand and he liked all but for the past two weeks it seems that he has become bored or uninterested again in the food and will only eat when it is mixed with gravy or type of raw food such as chicken or when he has starved himself all day. Has anyone had any similar experiences or any suggestions on what to do? Please help!
Thank you!!
RJ
Thank you!!

Its not a brand I've heard of being across the pond, but sounds like you've done your homework regarding it, my girl was really fussy with kibble often skipping meals, since switching to complete raw, she's great, try adding some sardines in tomato sauce or oil or even a raw fresh egg. Be careful when feeding raw and kibble together as the have different digestion rates.

Hi and welcome
I'm pretty much exactly the same as Hayley, when feeding dry I had to add some wet food/tinned fish/cooked mince/eggs to it but I have also switched to raw and she eats pretty much everything no problem now

Dogs can become bored with thier food/kibble so try adding a few different things to make it a bit more interesting for him such as sardines, cooked chicken or a raw egg occasionally

Thank you guys for the help. Still trying to figure out what to do. It looks like adding some type of meat or sauce is helping. I just do not know if that is the best options
