Re: my dog and his eating habits
I was having a simular problem with Blue. I think staffs must be fussy when it comes to food.
I gave him pasta and chicken for a bit and he loved that but far to expensive way to feed him all the time. I now feed raw and he eats every meal in the last 6 weeks.
Some suggest on here try putting some tuna in with his meal. This has worked for several members

Re: my dog and his eating habits
Hi Scott I have always mixed a little meat (cooked) and the juice into the complete food and mine have always eaten. But they are like us some can eat anything and never gain weight some gain it easily it may be your boys metabalism is that he doesnt need a huge amount as long as he is healthy and not tired out easily I would just try new routines/food see what he likes
Eating more food doesnt mean he will bulk up genetic make up determins your dogs confirmation

Yes, gem's right, no amount of food will make him bulk up.
However, if he really isn't eating much and isn't growing properly then you need to get him eating again, although looking at your avatar pic he certainly looks healthy enough!
How many meals do you give him per day? If it's two, try cutting down the portions of the first meal so that he's hungry for the 2nd.
If it's one, then he maybe just doesn't like dry food & he's only eating enough to stop him from feeling really hungry! What are you feeding him, and have you tried changing to a different brand?

Not all tinned stuff is rubbish and it could be worth a try, I know mine wouldn't just eat dried food.

Tuna or tinned sardines (in oil or tomato sauce) are good.
Not all tinned food is rubbish, exactly - all processed food has things in them that your dog doesn't need - but it isn't too good for the teeth.

Tesco's are selling 2 tins of tuna for £1.20, thats a saving of £1.10 if you buy 4 tins of it (compared to the 4 pack)
I bought 16 tins of it

Re: my dog and his eating habits
I always think it must be so boring for a doggie to just eat the one sort of food... Jethro has a real variety......tinned...dry.....biscuits.... and he loves all his vegies!!

..can't be any worse than the pop offs Jethro was doing last night!!!
I think Jethro has the honkiest breath known to man anyway. He gets arthritis powder daily in his food..made with green mussel powder... trust me.....it stinks !!! And when he yawns he really puts alot of effort in to it, to blow his breath in my direction!!
