Hi stella is 18 months old. She has recently started scratching round her mouth a lot and a patch on her leg. Its not fleas and herfood hasnt changed. Also she never seems to finish her dinner, I mix dry food with tinned meat but even when I make the portions smaller she doesnt eat it. Do you feed your staffy twice? Or three times a day? Thanks for all help

What are you feeding her? It could be an allergy thing?

Not recently no. Last time she went was for an ear infection 8 months ago. She has pets at home own brand tinned food and our localpet shop provides the dry food which is chicken and rice I believe. She also has raw chicken as a treat and a sardine with her dry food in a morning

Could it be her mouth is too sore/itchy to eat? I would take her to the vets if shes not been eating for a while as the others have said.

itchy mouth and legs tends to be a sign of a yeast problem, which can be linked to their food. Always best to get checked at the vets though

We're going through pretty much the same thing with Zeus. Hes got Colitis and some sort of food allergy which is causing him to scratch everywhere insanely (one of the main spots is under his mouth). We've changed his food around 6/7 times since hes been a pup but no luck really. The vet has suggested that we start an exclusion diet, to find out exactly whats causing the problem. It'll take a while but fingers crossed it works..!

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the vets, I'm considering a diet change for Coco due to skin problems and am really confused as which way to go. I noticed you are from Australia, have you heard of 'vets all natural' food? I'm considering using this as I'm not 100% sure about RAW food just yet, still researching.
