Rocky Dealing with Fireworks
Last night we all went to bed at about 11pm, at 11.50 we heard someone outside shouting and swearing which made Rocky bark. He settled down straight away though then at about 11.55 the fireworks started and he didn't make a sound not one bark or grumble at all.
We were so impressed that he didn't bark at them as he usaully does.
Earlier in the evening I had sprayed the bed and duvet cover with some DAP spray as I know how Rocky reacts to the fireworks, so it does work. We will definitely get another bottle of the spray for him.
Well done Rocky Mummy & Daddy are very proud of you again.

Re: Rocky Dealing with Fireworks
I was expecting a bad time with Harry due to fireworks, but I took him out for a late walk and then gave him some rescue remedy about 11.40pm.
Put the TV up loud (was watching the London Firework display which oddly he doesn't react to) and he slept on my lap all the way through
Will try the dap spray though, thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Rocky Dealing with Fireworks
You are so lucky, fireworks here started at 5pm and finished well after midnight. I have tried, dap, rescue remedy, tv up loud and a stuffed kong. Took him an hour to eat the kong and the rest of the time he was just barking. I wouldn't mind if they just let them off at midnight, but last night was ridiculous.

Well done Rocky!
Its the first time since having Alfie that fireworks have gone off. He was brilliant thank goodness, his head shot up a few times but that was all.
Well done our superstars.
Feel so sorry the ones upset its such a shame we cant explain to them what it is! They make me jump and I know! Cant they invent silent ones?
