Rabbit
I bought half a rabbit for Daisy and tried to give it frozen (as she won't eat defrosted meat on the bone) she wouldn't eat it so I thought maybe it was too big so have defrosted it and cut it in two and am re-freezing. However, I cut a little bit off and tried to give it to her, she just spat it out! I also put down the bowl it had de-frosted in, to see if she'd lick up the blood but not interested! She's having tripe for tea so thought I'll mix the tripe in with the blood, maybe get her used to the taste a bit? good idea or bad?
Are many dogs funny with rabbit? Daisy is quite fussy, I always know she likes something if she eats it!
Will try again with the frozen portions another day too.

Re: Rabbit
erm no the boys have no problem with rabbit
does the rabbit have fur on at all? some dogs can be funny with fur or feathers on meat, also rabbit is a lot gamier then other meats she's probably already had. Tough love tend to work well

Re: Rabbit
They had some rabbit minced with something else in the shop so think I'm going to get some of that this weekend, hopefully it will give her the taste for it!

Re: Rabbit
Well Daisy had the minced rabbit and turkey in the week and ate it fine, so today I gave her the rabbit this morning, didn't eat it, gave it her again for tea, she had a bit but has left most of it!! I guess she really doesn't like it!
