Staffy proof dog pull toy

my little Tash loves playing tug of war games with us, can anyone tell me of a really good strong pull toy for us to get her for Christmas

Not a product you could buy but when we first got Rocky my hubby made a tug toy out of an old bed sheet by just cutting into lengths and tying knots in it. I'm sure this was as good as any shop bought toy and it lasted for ages, in fact there are still traces of it around here somewhere nearly three years later   

To be honest I find the large knot ropes the most hard wearing. My two use theirs daily and it is still intact, although a little frayed around the edges.

Yes, as big as possible. Dempsey has a huge knotted rope tug toy, but he only gets to pull on it occasionally so it's lasted well.

Otherwise, get an old pair of jeans, slice them up & knot them!  

Yes Vin has had large knot rope toy for ages now, its his fave and I only got it from Wilkinsons   

I got one from spar for a pound and its lasted ages!

few months back  got a "tough toys" rubber one from pets@home ..
apart from some puncture marks it be still intact

i knotted 4 old 'n worn army-surplus socks together ..
she loves that one 'cause she can rag 'n fling it about ..
seems to be lasting as well when we play tug-o-war with it ..

Moo just manages to shred them, how ever strong they are   

Katy can kill any rope in minutes, my oh bought a child bicycle tyre for her to pull on. Even with only supervised pull times she destroyed it   

Knotted denim is working well for us and from the man with the toy crate at the dog club I picked up a tough rubber ball knotted into climbing bungee rope which is doing quite well but again only supervised else Ledger would just gnaw through it

kongs safestix. Without a doubt one the best toys. You can do tug of war, catch me if you can, the dog can really interact with it. Also, its damn good durability.

We've tried everything here and they've shredded them all    I wish Kong did an indestructible rope...............
