I have a couple of treats here to train my staffordshire bull terrier puppy to lye down but he has none of it.
He sits on his back two feet wrongly and when ever I move his two front legs to lye him down he moves. Sad

Best way to get a down to lye?

Thank you

If you get your dog to sit in front of you , then , with a treat it likes in your hand bring it down in front of his face , if he snatches at it either start again or take your hand further away , the dog should follow your hand down with his head , when you reach the floor bring your hand in towards you , when any of his stomach or front legs touch down give it the treat and loads of praise ..... Persivere and repeat this until your dog gets the hang of it , hope this helps

There are three ways, all leading with a treat.

as describled above leading him down and forward, or you can lead down and back in towards his chest, or sit with your legs in a V and lead him underneath.
