thin spot of fur

i have a 7mth old blue . on one of his shoulder blades his fur sames to have gone thin, there is no redness or sores ,and it doesnt trouble him, it is on , about an inch long and it is not bald, i have noticed it seems to be where his harness is and where he has wrinkles of skin ,i lead walk him but my parents tend to use the harness. but have stopped it in case it is the cause ,would take a foto ,but it wouldnt show up plus he wont sit for the camera (gone camera shy)

Re: thin spot of fur
What kind of harness is he wearing? The soft or padded ones are best for his skin. You can get textile or mesh ones like this (pic not of my dog, but friend of my dog - also a pup).
Also to check the adjustment - he must still be growing.
Take the harness off straightaway when in the house/when it's not needed.
Keep working away at his loose-leash walking - if he pulls all the time that also could be adding to the rub effect.

If its where to harness is and no where else and doesn't seem to be bothering him I would just put it down to harness rub. Maybe try a softer one?

Re: thin spot of fur
As it's been caught early it should start working quite quickly. Sometimes, though, it can start to look a little worse before it gets better.
