ear biting - loosing patience
Ok, im sure im going over old ground but -
Weve had ruby about 3 months, shes nearly 7 months, all is generally ok, her and molly, whos 7years get on ok.
The only issue is Ruby keeps biting at molly. Nothing evil just grabing her ears or head - I need to stop it as I think its getting to molly and unfortunatley, she hasnt and is highly unlikely to show dominace as shes to soft! Shes just a bit sulky and sad.
its making me sad to see her like it.
They muck along ok,share a cage with no snapping, rubys bite inhibition is fine I think shes just playing but still!

How about giving Molly some alone time every so often? Just her and you?
Personally I wouldn't have them share a crate because they have no private place to chill if things get a bit too much.

Sounds normal to me but like saz says if you notice molly has had enough step in and separate them

They only share a crate when they come to work with me as I am on a busy road and molly has a habit of crawling out of her harness and running over the road through the door when customers come in. I would understand if it was when they were in the cage, but when they are in there its like they are best mates, they snuggle and wash each other and share food! Its when we get home and Molly is lay on the sofa half asleep, ruby just goes up to her and grabs her ear or if she walks past her - Im sure you are right its just play - Im just being an over protective mummy!

Lily and Lola fight all the time and make an awful noise when they do it. It is normal Staffy play although it sounds like they are killing each other!
