I am thinking of getting one of these for Densil and wondered if anybody else had used or tried them. Basically he gets very excited when we have visitors. My daughter and her partner visit us once or twice a week and he gets hyperactive whilst they are there - I usually give him a kong or something to take his attention away, but he starts panting very heavily and trying to jump on their laps. The other day I grabbed his halti collar which I use for his walks and put that on him. It was like switching a light off! He calmed down immediately.

I've seen them advertised, but the only person I know who bought one didn't have much success with it.

Sorry I've not used one either so I'm no help, why not just clip his halti on when you've got visitors Smile

I've not heard of them sorry, it is interesting to hear about what works though.

If you want proper success - then the only thing you can do is training.

Calming bands in this instance are a short term 'fix' - they do not resolve the issue in the long term.

Sorry, had to break off my earlier message, but basically I was hoping to use it to see if it had any effect on his car anxiety. We are using zylkene which helps a little but he is still huffing and puffing so thought a calming band might help. Have tried everything else - lavender oil, rescue remedy, dap spray and nothing really seems to work and I guess he will always stress out in the car, particularly as he is perhaps only going for a car ride once or twice a year when we go on holiday and he has to go to his foster home.
