why do people do this?
we have had posts like this before but thought i'd just ask this.If your dog poo's when your out, why do you take the time and effort to pick it up,put it in a bag then throw it in the hedgerow/leave it on the floor in the bag ,the lane i walk sash up to get to the fields has bags thrown every where, where's the sense in it,pick it up.bag it and take it home, simply eh!

I'd rather it was left unbagged to rot away than bagged and just left there to fester for years!

lol i love the word fester.
But its better bagged and sat aside for the bin man to pick up than left in the very middle of the public footpath

Yeah I can not understand this, some one always leaves it in a bag by a lamppost near mine, about 20 metres further up there is a bin!!

Re: why do people do this?
Well, I will admit to leaving poo in a bag and it is for this reason. If we are across in Fife and are walking around the harbour, then it is a linear walk: we are returning by the same route. If the poo occurs early, then I will leave it, duly bagged, behind a memorable bollard for retrieval and disposal upon our return (which is normally within the hour). There are no poo receptacles in the harbour. This saves having to have it dangling from the finger-tips for the entire duration of the walk. Could this explain why bagged poos are temporarily abandoned in other parts of the country? There is no excuse, however, for not picking up the poo on the return route.

Re: why do people do this?
It drives me mad to. I used to keep my horses down a nice country lane at the top of our village. Some one had decided to stuff their full poo bags in the dry stone walls around my field. There became more and more of them. So once there were about 10 I pulled them all out the wall and dumped them up the middle of the road. There were no more bags dumped after that.

Re: why do people do this?
Completely agree! It's more so annoying here since there's poo bins literally everywhere, and at the exit and entrance to most fields also! Most people don't bother to pick it up here though, then there's me with 100 poo bags in every item of clothing
