Perth Parks and Beaches
Does anyone know where there are good beaches or closed in parks on Perth, WA to take my 7 month old staffy, he is a good boy but VERY energetic and playfull and its hard to take him off the lead around small dogs as he is too rough he has so much energy and just wants to run but Im scared he might never come back if we take him off the lead! He is way too full on too be around older or fragile dogs...
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Perth Parks and Beaches
Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and I
I'm from Sydney, and I just google my local council area to see what they have around, that is enclosed and safe for pets! You can also have a look at the beaches within council areas to see if they allow dogs on the beach, as some don't
Also if you are worried about taking your boy off the lead, I can suggest a very long training lead that you can purchase from eBay, they are brilliant as you still have control of them on lead, but they have the freedom to run around
Anything similar to this is ideal! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mixed-Colors-50ft-15m-Long-Dog-Pet-Puppy-Training-Obedience-Lead-Leash-/310727123298?pt=Leashes_and_Head_Collars&var=&hash=item4858c7a162

Re: Perth Parks and Beaches
Thanks everyone, we will try a long lead for sure.
Have already been to many dog beaches in Perth which are great but they are so packed and a little bit overwhelming for our little guy (my partner has to hold him on the lead as he is so strong and excited!) was wanting more of a quiet area or somewhere that bigger dogs can rough about. Looks like we will just have to train him to be more settled!
