Lucy sulking!
Lucy is always pulling at my skirt whether I'm sat down or standing.
I sharp NO! doesn't stop her.
"Down" is not working.
I've tried putting a toy chew in her mouth that only works for a very short time.
So now I'm putting her in her cage which is helping to quieten her down.
Trouble is; after 5 minutes when I open her door she sulks- refuses to come out giving me this sorrowful stare which makes me feel really guilty.

Re: Lucy sulking!
Hi sue I wouldn't recommend issuing her crate in this way, this is her haven and safe place. It could cause problems in the future if she associates it with being told off have a read through the links saz posted

LOL- I had to laugh Debs She does look like "butter wouldn't melt in her mouth" but she is a demon in disguise. Trying to catch the little madam when she pulls at your cloths is near impossible. May be its because I'm a lot older than most of you and my agility isn't what it was 10 yrs ago. " all say haaa....."
I've tried to be strict but fair; as she is always naughty when she is giddy.
As for putting her in the cage when naughty... it does seem to work and she still goes in there through the day to have her her nap, but I will try to put her in the kitchen and see how that turns out Darcy-may
Reading through the links hasn't given me anything new to work on.
When she is tugging at my skirt and gets that stubborn look on her face she will not let go, so its me getting tangled-up when I try to turn around to ignore her! I'm thinking if I squirted her with water this might give me a chance to grab her and then I will give her some time-out in the kitchen.

Re: Lucy sulking!
Oh I wouldn't say that, Axl is two now and he runs rings around me when he's having a zoomies session with my shoe in his mouth... I wasn't quick enough and I have holes in my new Converse lolLOL- I had to laugh Debs She does look like "butter wouldn't melt in her mouth" but she is a demon in disguise. I know it might sound silly but when Axl tugs on his lead rather than pull away I just stand dead still, I say "no" once and then do absolutely nothing, he eventually drops the lead and I say "good" and carry on walking. I was thinking maybe try this? You can adapt it so when she's tugging at your skirt just stop what you're doing, say "no" and sit still until she stops, and then say "good" and carry on. It may take a while but I think it teaches them that if they do something you don't want then no good will come of it, they will have no cuddles, no play, no interaction until they stop.Reading through the links hasn't given me anything new to work on.

I have to say it has worked with Axl, he rarely tugs on his lead anymore and when he does he's quicker at stopping when I tell him no...
Edited: to add something fairly useful!
