Pimple lumps??
Hi, Wondering if anyone knows what this could possibly be? Rolo has been fine, he isn't itching and they don't bother him at all. He developed a few bumps on his face, which I thought were allergy lumps as he does occasionally get them so I didn't worry. Last week I was up the vets with him as he'd grazed his foot and asked the vet to look at the pimple lump that had appeared on his shoulder, it had appeared literally the day before so I was curious. She suggested it could be a Mast Cell tumour developing and to keep an eye on it and if it changes to obviously go back. Well it has now erupted into a big flaky dry scab? As have the 3 on his face, I have my suspicions and we will be back up the vets in the morning, but wondering if anyone else may know what this could be? Thank you

Re: Pimple lumps??
Could they be insect bites ? I would see what the vet says.

Re: Pimple lumps??
This is the one on his shoulder, it doesn't show just how raw it looks but the ones on his face are much darker and they blend in with his hair to much to show on the photos

Re: Pimple lumps??
Just back from the vets, he's had skin scrapes and hair pluck samples done, there was no obvious parasite but the vet suspects its Demodex, so Rolo is being treated with Advocate and Cephalexin antibiotics, as some of the lumps are looking infected. If it gets any worse of changes we are to go back. Also to be on the safe side we are avoiding doggy contact Poor Rolo was such a good boy, he got very stressed but he tried his best to pretend he wasn't there as he buried his head under my arm
