Re: Poor little ice bad knee
Good luck with the physio and the hydrotherapy Andy - here's hoping Ice will benefit from both

Re: Poor little ice bad knee
Right latest update
Ice had to have a second patella op and they had to move some bone,s to get the leg straight as the knee cap was still popping out
After a few pins screws and a few months of complete rest ( yes a night mare for a staffy to chill) she,s seems very good
She has to go to the vets next week for a final x ray hopefully fingers crossed all ok bones fused together muscle gain in her rear hind leg and all the pins and wires staying wear they should be ,
Now a quick note for anyone that does not have insurance it cost a total sum of ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, wait for it..............£4798 to date with another X-ray and consultation fee I guess will hit the 5k mark , so the insurance has paid vid the lot If they hadn't I would of still paid as you do but been in a bit of financial difficulty etc

Re: Poor little ice bad knee
A up date on ice one month ago ice developed a limp on the other leg, and yes she has just had the same op on the other one , she was just getting to the point of back to normal and boom hear we go again ,good news 2 week out of op she is doing great and 1 min walk and about to take her up to 2-4 min walks , she seems very happy but trying to keep a three year old staffy still and confined is very very hard lol

Re: Poor little ice bad knee
Aww.. feel for Ice and you Andy. We had the same with Stella when she was very young. First knee went when she was only 9months and the second one a year later. Hydrotherapy helped build the muscle up and she has taken glucosamine and chondroitin daily since. She now suffers with arthritis in both her back legs and front knee but still gets around well if rather slowly. Stella sends:(hug): to Ice

Re: Poor little ice bad knee
Blimey ice has had it rough. I feel for you having had my Flo go through one leg op. we've been told that she will need the other done eventually. Glad you're finally at the last stage and managing to start the walks.
