bad knee
Hi everyone been a while since I've been on here lots of going ons with new job etc...
Well today I received bad news that caley might need a operation. On Wednesday she hurt her leg whilst chasing her tail, hubby took her vet and they couldn't feel anything wrong so said to keep eye on it, well today it seemed worse it looked like it kept giving way so I took her back and it was different vet she did same thing felt and pulled leg all of sudden was a click, vet was there's the problem her knee is slipping out of socket, we have been referred to consultant to explain what needs to be done, looks like her socket needs deepening, feel so sad for her.
Has anyone else been through this

Re: bad knee
This sounds like a luxating patella where the kneecap dislocates or moves out of its normal location.
The operation usually has a high success rate although much rest is needed after it. I'm sure the surgeon will explain the procedure fully with you before hand.
Do you have pet insurance to cover the fees ?

Yep that sounds like what she called it. Yes I have pet insurance thank goodness. I need to keep her quiet with no walks from now until she at least sees consultant not going to be fun.
