proud of my two tonight
In the park tonight walking down a path when we meet a group of girl guides or whatever they are called comming our way. I moved off the path onto the grass so we didnt get tangled up in the group. Just as I did a jrt shot through them and started having a go at both my two for no reason. Caught me off guard as I wasnt expecting them to be walking a da cretin of a dog. But then bursting through them came this Chinese guy shouting at his dog to stop... now at this point both marlay and laska were starting to look a little peved and when it started biting laskas neck marley tried to put himself between them. The guy didnt even try to get his dog just shouted at it. So I had to stand in and flicked it out the way with my foot before my two got agro with it. What made it for me though was one of the adults with the group of girls said to the owner what a nasty little dog it was and he was lucky my two hadnt reacted. All I could think to say at the time was to keep the nasty lil git on a lead. No sorrys or anything he just walked off with the damn thing still off lead.
Just so proud that my two stood there ground but didnt react in the slightest... I know some dogs that would have done it some damage and I realy did get worried marley would shred it once it started at laskas neck but no he held his composure as she was keeping calm. Bloody irresponsible owner letting a dog like that off lead. But so glad it was witnessed and commented on by a third party. Gave my two a good check over and no injuries at all, that thick neck fur serves a purpose lol but well proud of them for there composure in a situation like that.

Re: proud of my two tonight
What suprised me most was the composure of them both. Both calm and examining the situation and working out best way to resolve... step in dad and his size 10s... seems I have a shorter fuse than they do and dont worry I didnt put the boot in, just a slide under and flick away. They do have a very good friend who is a jrt so wonder if that had anything to do with there reactions at all

Well done Marley and Laska, some of those JRT are menacing!
Thankfully Vin has never reacted either, and hope it remains that way.

Well done to both of yours there Nathan, hope they got a special treat for their impeccable behaviour. I don't know why it is that owners of JRT fail to see why a dogs lead is a good idea ???

Re: proud of my two tonight
What annoyed me an still does now is that why let a da dog off lead??? Okay mine didnt react but some dogs would and when the jrt gets chomped whos gonna get the blame... its not fair on the jrt (god knows what the poor fella has gone through to make him like that) he will get hurt unless the owners controll it and keep it on lead. As much as im proud of my two im fearfull for the poor little fella in the future. Id love to meet the owner again as slap some sence into him as I was to shocked at the time mistakingly thinking girl guides had set a deranged dog on mg two...

That's what I think all the time, off lead dogs come over to us all the time (Daisy is always on lead) she is fine but what if she wasn't? Really frustrating that some people just have no idea!
