Proud of My Boy
Since adopting Milton, he's never been happy to be left on his own. This isn't normally a problem as I'm always with him, he even comes with me when I work (I'm self-employed so nobody to tell me he can't ).
Early hours of this morning, I had to go to hospital. I woke him up and let him out before the ambulance arrived, then he went back to bed. I've just got home and found him curled up on the sofa, having brought the T-shirt I had on yesterday with him out of the washing basket Nothing chewed, no 'accidents', just a very happy boy to have his dad home.
Just thought I'd share because I'm so proud of him - I was worried he'd be upset by his routine being changed, but no, he coped just fine

Re: Proud of My Boy
Glad to hear that Milton did so well .. no doubt the result of having a wonderful dad to care for him I love that he got himself a t-shirt.
I do hope everything is okay with you and that the hospital trip was nothing too serious x

Re: Proud of My Boy
Thanks everyone, and thanks for your concern Nothing too serious, turns out I've got gallstones which are causing a few problems, so they're going to book me in to have my gallbladder out. They wanted to do it today but I wanted to get home to make sure Milton was okay, plus I'll need to sort out someone to look after him for a few days while they do it.

Poor you - gallstones are blooming painful . Hopefully you will be able to
have keyhole surgery so you won't be away from your boy more than a day or two.
Miltons a handsome lad

Thanks, they did say it'd be most likely to be keyhole unless there were any complications, so fingers crossed
Thanks again for all the kind words everyone, think I'm gonna have a nap now, didnt sleep much last night.

Milton is coming into his own! I think they are often very relaxed dogs, given the chance.
