Black spots on a white Staffie
I know it's normal and very common for these to increase, and Chloe has gone for all white to almost Dalmatian within 14 months! I was just wondering whether the spots always stay under their white coat or if the white fur turns black like the spots?

Re: Black spots on a white Staffie
From what I've seen of other dogs it just stays under the fur

It's just pigment clustering beneath the skin. The fur is likely to stay white. It's actually a lot better to have pigment spots on a white dog, as all-white dogs often have extremely sensitive skin, particularly around the eyes and noses.

It stays under the fur, my Lola has them. they seem to increase with age. She didn't have any when I got her at 5 months but now she has loads. She had a pink nose when I got her and now it is nearly all black. Nothing to worry about

Yeah it's rather cute! Plus her eye that hasn't got the black patch, has developed what looks like eyeliner. Tart
