White spots in wee?
Past couple of days I've noticed in Lola's wee there are white blobs. It is not everytime she goes. They appear about 1 minute after she has done it. Then after about 20 seconds they start to disperse sort of thing. I've spoke with the vet when we was there for her second jab and he said its a puppy thing and after her first season it won't happen. Has anyone else experienced this, or do you think I'm best getting a second opinion?

I don't think it sounds normal but I am no expert. I would try and get a sample and pop it to the vets in case it is a urine infection.

Re: White spots in wee?
Must admit that's baffled me as well.
Is there another vet you can ask?

No idea here either. Hopefully it clears on it's own but it might be worth a second opinion

Thanks for replys. Spoke to my mum and she has a GSD. She said he had the same thing when he was a puppy and the same vet said the same "it's a puppy thing". I'm going to get a sample from her and take it in just to be safe.

We had a similar thing with Marley, i have mentioned it to the vet twice and "its a puppy thing". when she pee's there is always a milky white drop left on her outer vag (sorry dont know the terminology). he just told me to whipe it away, which i have been doing. he says dont worry to me, easier said than done i guess.
Re: White spots in wee?
It is actually quite common in bitch puppies, though I'm not sure what causes it. I think I heard somewhere that the white blobs were protein deposits.
But vets generally say that it isn't anything to worry about, unless it is accompanied by lethargy, decreased appetite, etc.

I wish they would give a bit more than just "dont worry about", if its just excess prtotein, then say so lol. looks like i got something to google for tonight....
Re: White spots in wee?
Don't quote me on the protein part. I'm not entirely sure.
But yes, it would be nice for them to give a better explanation.

Yeah I've read about it bein protein. She is full of energy and fine in herself so I guess could put it down to this, although still gonna take a sample to vet.
