Going to go the butchers tomorrow to get darcy a bone, what is the best type to get? I want to see how she goes with them with a view to perhaps switching to raw Smile

don't get the large marrow bones like most butchers try and give you, try asking for some pork bones or lamb, things like ribs or neck or spine are good. Chicken wings/carcasses are great to start with

Ooo I'm a veggie, have no idea what part of the pig it is! They are generally about 8 -10 inches long with big round bits that I guess are the joints at each end, don't know if that helps? Laughing

The spines are often a good bone to start with because they are a little softer & crunch up a lot easier than some others.

I used to get lamb spines from Morrisons (plus small beef, lamb & pork bones). Really cheap, although there wasn't a lot of meat on them.

They sound good! There are no proper butchers near me, unfortunately. Just the ones that get the meat already cut up & packaged, so they don't get any left over bones.
