Thinking About Another Staffy

Hi, my mrs works with a lassie that's staffy has just had pups, im considering getting a female from her. The mother is a fairly decent size with a nice sized head, the father is a bit smaller, his head is smaller and he is a bit thinner built, not quite a runt but not far off it, he does have a decent set of paws on him and you can see the muscle on.
What im wondering is that is there a bigger chance of these pups being smaller and thinner built because of the fathers size or is it just the same chance if both parents are big?
don't get me wrong if I end up with a pup and its a small one it will still be loved just the same, im just looking for some info before we decide what to do

Like us its in the genes of how Mum and Dad are, but sure you will be satisfied and love it whatever.  

Just be sure their both properly health tested :-)

hi... somebody from my area of the woods paul? anyway don't no if this will be much help but my boy and girls maw an paw are very much alike in size and looks[which was one the main reasons we wanted one of their pups] because we had a rough idea what we would have have in a couple of years time but as far as size I can safely say our boy is bigger than paw at 16months and our girl looks to be going the same way...

When breeding you will get one or the other, so you have a 50% chance of a thinner pup. Are the parents both health tested, kc reg, good temperament and a good age for breeding?
