Was thinking of taking Millie to training classes, there is one here that is 65.00 for a six week course, she is great round about other dogs just now when we are out so no probs socialising, more just to improve her walking on lead, she is just over 4 month is this an ideal age to start?

I'm always a little suspicious of puppy training classes, and would recommend that you look into the qualifications of the trainers & whether they use positive reinforcement training.

If you need a hand sorting out any qualifications they have, just post here & someone will be able to help.

Some will let you go (minus the dog) to get an idea of what happens in the class.
Def take Caryll's advice on finding out about the qualifications. pretty much anyone can hold a class and you don't want to end up under the instruction of a hobbyist with a prejudice against bull breeds.

You can check with the kennel club too, we take Bruno to a class near us which is the only one in the area which is a proper kennel club run one. It's all positive reward based work and we find it really good. Especially for socialising the Brumonster who was a bit wary at first. They gave us the opportunity to come and watch before we took our pup, to see if we liked it.

Your local vet should also be able to recommend a good training class in your area, We found that Rolo benefitted more from a beginners class, that included all dogs of all ages and sizes. Smile
