my staffy a fighter and a miracle
Hello everyone I would like to share my story about my boy barnibus
When he was 9month he had a fit on top of the stairs. He fell down stairs.
We rushed him to vets. Who cheeked him over
They kept him in next day they did test and stuff
And a scan then they gave him some tablets
Then at 10month old they find out hes got a little Brian tumor so they gave him a op and he stayed in vets for a month to recovery. And he came home yesterday. Im so glad he home now. Hes on loads of tableta. Still wobbly on hes feet but we are so glad to have him home. We really hope he can get back to normal. It might take him while but we sp glad to have him home xx

Re: my staffy a fighter and a miracle
Terrible to hear such things ... sick dogs tear at all our heart strings x
As Dave said, a month is such a long time to have been without your little man ... you must have been beside yourself! Was the long stay just recovery or treatment time? Is he having regular visits or are you managing wound care alone? (He looks scar free already - he must be getting amazing care either way )
I hope you don't mind if I ask some questions .... brain tumours in staffs is not something that is common and having been treated successfully I believe your story could help others be more aware. Do you mind sharing what kind of tumour was it, what the surgery and treatment involved and whether there are other symptoms you need to watch for now? Thank you for sharing your experience x

Aww bless must have been hard. But as kell said its a rare thing to happen but we would love your input on it having been there first hand. The forums are open and are regularly cataloged by Google so anything you can post will be of great help to anyone in this situation despite the breed all over the world. And if your experience and good news story can bring some hope to anyone its worth its weight in gold. Bless your boy he is a stunner and hope you have many happy years ahead

Re: my staffy a fighter and a miracle
Jasmine , don't mean to question you but how can Barnibus have been in the Vets for a month , when only just over 2 weeks ago you were posting on here about the dogs escaping ???

Remember the Staff are around all of the time and remember everything , perhaps you would like to explain ???

Re: my staffy a fighter and a miracle
thought you would say as much.
what about all your other threads asking for help and photos you have posted in the last month?
IF you were that concerned for Barnibus to not tell us he was in the vets why would you post those threads?

Re: my staffy a fighter and a miracle
Coming from somebody whose dog was diagnosed with cancer a year ago, I fully understand how emotionally draining and traumatic it is to get the diagnosis.. something obviously doesn't add up here.. were the incidents that you were posting about about barnibus in the past month untrue, or this new diagnosis? I found that it took weeks for the lab results to come back to state what grade the cancer was, which we could then lead onto a treatment plan for. But also although she had many stitches and surgery wounds they allowed her home as soon as possible after the surgery to keep her comfortable in a familliar environment.. she only ever stayed in over night if she had reactions to meds etc..

Sorry if we sound sceptical and if we are wrong then we can only apologise, we are a group that communicates over the internet so we aren't there to see the evidence but lets just look at a few facts
12th August - approximately 1 month from now you post an introduction and pics - no mention of any problems
12th August you post asking if Barnibus is a Pit Cross - no mention of problems
14th August pic posted in comps Barnibus is 10 months old
16th August pics posted of Barnibus with your other dog Toby - no problems mentioned - we now know you own 2 dogs
16th August - a post about noisey dogs and complaints - the complaint was stated as "today" - no problems mentioned
17th August - follow up to above , your comment "so im taking my barnibus and we going to grandad who lives on a farm for a break" , so at this point you obviously have Barnibus with you
29th August - you posted about YOUR DOGS getting out "my dogs got.out my house. i didn't reliese and i went.out. and.man was out there. i went out there and.my dogs was barking. and.jumping up. and man just kicked them!" I repeat your dogs not your dog , this was only 2 weeks ago yet you now tell us Barnibus has been in the vets for a month after a tumour with no evidence whatsoever of any operation .
Well I'm calling your bluff and I believe you are lying , either just lies or you don't even own these dogs and are nothing short of an internet Troll.
We have real honest sincere members on the forum that do not need to read this junk so please do not post lies about dogs and health , people on here really feel for this.
If you have some kind of condition that makes you come out with such junk then please use a forum about your condition and get some help , don't bring it here !!
Now would you like to start all over again or would you like to leave it's your choice but I will not tolerate this rubbish on the forum any longer praying on the sympathy of other members and anguishing them unneccesarily
If you object to this then show me some evidence , photos of Barnibus after his operation , photos of vets bills etc and then I will leave the forum myself for being so uncaring and mistrusting

Re: my staffy a fighter and a miracle
I as an owner of a ill staff can't believe that someone would possibly lie about their dogs 'illness'. I know how long it's taken for Ruby's hair to grow back after being shaved for tests and yet the dog in your photos has no telltale signs of being shaved for an op on his brain!
