Molly appears to have gone right off her Wainwrights puppy kibble, it is like she is bored with it as she is mad for every thing else, if I mix an egg or some chicken or veg for that matter she eats it all but just turns her nose up at the stuff when its on it's own although she eats it eventually. She is in her first season but was not that interested before to be honest.

I wondered if I should mix maybe tinned food in with her kibble ? what do you lot think ?

It's good to add an egg, so if she likes that you can do it a few times a week and then maybe tinned sardines in oil or tomato, I'd probably try that route rather than tinned food (generally it's not very good).

I do mix a little tinned meat into Moo's food but it really is just the smallest bit otherwise she tends to turn her nose up at things also. We also use eggs and sardines but I find I need to mix it up a little. Smile

Thank you for replies. So is she turning her nose up because I have been giving her nicer things in with the kibble or is she just bored with kibble ? eggs are no problem as I have chickens but I have only been giving molly about one a week as I didn't want to over do it, can do the sardines, and will give her other fish as well (she does not like raw fish) so will give her cooked.
To be honest I thought that the kibble was all she would need for the rest of time !! but we are put here to learn ! I just don't want to give her things that are not good for her.... I have all the things that ain't good for health lol.

Yes tinned meat is really not good at all. As said above sardines or egg or you could try Nature Diet if you just want to mix a bit in with the dried to tempt her. It is mainly meat plus a little veg and rice, you don't have to put it in the fridge until opened. I find it very good Smile

Have you considered feeding a raw diet? Best for them in all accounts. Doesn't suit me but might be worth looking into Smile

I couldn't do a total raw diet but reading about it and this thread has given me some food for thought and the confidence to mix it up a bit.

Just don't feed raw and kibble at the same time. They digest at different times so would upset their stomach!

I had the same problem with my puppy..I feed her dry food for 8 months and 1 day she just would not eat it..I changed to wet food she ate that but her poo was sloppy on it..So now I feed her raw mince in the morning with a pigs trotter and give her dry at night mixed with natural yogurt...They are funny eaters sometimes I always mixed her dry food with sardines and egg but she just went off it.

Madge turns her nose up at plain Iams, but enjoys it with Naturo mixed in. Label for Naturo says only real meat, veg, rice & mineral supplements, smells pretty good too.
